after a degree in Civil Administration (FH) and positions in local government, politics and communication agencies, Pohl offered freelance marketing consultancy to various businesses and social and cultural establishments. Since 1988 he has gradually specialized on strategy, marketing and coaching in universities and scientific establishments, administrations and foundations. In 1996 Pohl founded the ProfilPlus Hochschul- und Wissenschafts-Marketing GmbH (www.profilplus.com). Today his client-base counts over 50 universities, research facilities, scientific establishments and foundations. Since 1999 he has conducted four studies on university-marketing in Germany and published numerous articles on the subject as well as social marketing, fundraising and sponsoring. Since 1998 Pohl is a lecturer in Stakeholder-Management, University-, Research-, Social-and Culture-Marketing at various universities and further education establishments. He also runs the committee „PPP in der Wissenschaft“ at the Bundesverband Public-Private Partnership (www.bppp.de) and offers his know-how as a mentor and expert on the BruttoSozialPreis of the Berliner Kommunikationsforums e.V.
