Klaus Wichmann, TD Berliner Ensemble

theatre technician since 1960. Technical assistant to Prof. Rudolf Kück (Deutsche Oper Berlin), Walter Hunecke (Frankfurt/M und Bayreuth) and Prof. Adolf Zotzmann (Recklinghausen). Since1969 technical director at the following theatres: Renaissancetheater Berlin, Theater der Freien Volksbühne Berlin, Schaubühne am Halleschen Ufer, Theater des Westens Berlin, Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden and the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin (1999). In the 2007/08 season Wichtmann switched to the Berliner Ensemble. From 1982-91 he was an associate partner and manager in a company for theatre props and between 1970-1999 Wichtmann worked freelance as technical director at the Berliner Festspiel GmbH.
