Sarah Kamender
Born 1980 in Bielefeld, Germany. 1998 – 2000 work in the lighting department at Theater Bielefeld, followed by a bachelor's degree in Theatre Design and Technology with focus on lighting at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (graduation 2003). Between 2004 and 2006 head of the lighting department at Bluecoat Arts Centre, Liverpool, lighting for the Liverpool Biennial '04. Lighting design on various productions, including Ramesh Meyyappans „This Side Up“ (world tour), Paul McCartneys „the solo years“ and „deeptuned“ (Liverpool Royal Philarmonic Orchestra), which won the Bandit Lites Award for Excellence in Lighting Design 2003. 2005 – 2008 Master of Engineering in Event Technology at the Beuth Hochschule für Technik, Berlin. Since 2006 member of staff for lighting design and -technology on the Theatre and Event Technology course and since 2011 work at the 1:4-studio for scenography at the Beuth Hochschule für Technik, Berlin.
