Antje Kaiser, Muic Dramaturge, Director
born 1961 in Thüringen, music and dance apprenticeship in Meiningen and Weimar, music and acting degree in Berlin. Dramaturge to Ruth Berghaus from 1988 until her death in 1995, working in Dresden, Leipzig, Berlin Basel, Graz, Hamburg. 1991-2007 employment as dramaturge and director at the Staatsoper Stuttgart, the Theater Nordhausen, the Staatstheater Kassel and recently at the Komischen Oper Berlin. Guest dramaturge and mentor of numerous premiers in various opera houses in Stuttgart, Hamburg, Dresden, Leipzig, Berlin, Graz and Basel in collaboration with Axel Manthey, Peter Konwitschny, Marco Arturo Marelli, Werner Schröter, Sebastian Baumgarten, Katja Czellnik, Thilo Reinhardt, David Alden, Calixto Bieito, Andreas Homoki, Hans Neuenfels, Wolfram Mehring and Sabine Löw. Since 2000 semester guest lecturer and guest professor at the UdK and TU Berlin. Since 1997 Kaiser has put on regular productions of her own in Frankfurt am Main, Nordhausen, Kassel and Berlin (Deutsche Oper, Saalbau Neukölln – co founder of the Britzer Sommeroper), 2007 development of a 5-year plan for an integrative opera for the Festspielhaus Hellerau/Dresden.
