Our course spans four semesters and culminates in a "Master of Arts" award. It comprises six modules.

 Module 1

Theory: Theatre History, Theatre Classifications, Analytic Theatre Studies; project related text / music / subject analysis, dramaturgy, research

Module 2

Stage Design_Spacial Composition: Planning stage sets, structuring interactive spaces (trade fairs, expositions, events etc.). In-depth study of general theatre and event technology, cost accounting, light-, sound-, stage technology, lighting design, theatre specific craftsmanship

Module 3

Figure Composition: Costume design, life drawing, character design and full-scale actualisation, material studies, make-up

Module 4

Communication / Presentation: Brand and product presentation, live communication, social skills, presentation techniques, marketing, motion studies, digital and multimedia presentation techniques, media-based productions

 Module 5

Internship: Two six-week placements at one of our associate theatres or co-operation partners from the business sector, one exhibition project

Module 6

Master Thesis: Stage and costume design for a classical or contemporary piece of theatre or music theatre or the composition of an interactive space in accordance with a given topic. Theoretic and dramaturgic preparation thereof(colloquium.
