Art space Protestant Markus church community in Berlin-Steglitz

Walkable installation of the “Christmas Story”

For the empty church space of the Protestant Markus Church in Berlin Steglitz, an installative art space in the form of a contemporary translation of the “Christmas story” (birth of Jesus) was realised until December 24th. In addition to the development of a contemporary scenography (spatial design, light, projection, video, sound), archaic elements such as fire were integrated. As a transit, entry and exit from the church space are of particular importance, and the church forecourt and tower were also included in the design. The installation of an overall concept was realised by a group of eight students on site.
