Maria Dannecker

Art Education

Maria Dannecker studied in the Master of Arts in Art Education at the Zurich University of the Arts, specialising in Curatorial Studies. An exhibition and mediation concept that emerged from her Masters Thesis on dealing with art in the public sphere was first implemented in 2013 in Zug (CH). Previously, she completed a degree in Cultural Design (B.A., Hochschule für Gestaltung, Schwäbisch Hall) and a guest semester at the Fine Arts Department of Loughborough University School of the Arts, UK. As an artistic assistant to Karin Sander, among others, and as a freelance art mediator and curator, she has since been involved in international exhibition projects, including the Berlin Biennale, KW Institute for Contemporary Art an Kunsthalle Basel. Since 2018 Maria Dannecker has been coordinator and lecturer for the Bühnenbild_Szenischer Raum course.
