The 100th stage anniversary of the Friedrichstadt-Palast (previously Großes Schauspielhaus) is to provide the broadest possible picture of the past 100 years in a series of events in the 2019/2020 season and beyond. The aim is to open windows through which the history and stories of the theatre, its surroundings and its art can be experienced. The Palst should not only appear in the past, but also the present and on its way into the future. Under the mentoring of Johann Jörg, the thematic concept and design of a parcours in the sense of an urban staging, a “red thread” from the former location Großes Schauspielhaus to the Friedrichstadt-Palast will be developed. The historical connection of both locations is to be made visible with 4 to 5 urban interventions and stations.
