Uni-form?

The exhibition uni-form? Body, Fashion and Work Made to Measure is dedicated to the eventful history and present of textile crafts and clothing production in Brandenburg-Prussia. The realisation project focuses on two processes that have always been interdependent: the development from tailoring to serial and modern mass clothing production, and the development of diverse methods for measuring and standardising the body.

The exhibition was curatorially advised by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Women’s and Gender Studies at the TU Berlin as part of a project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
