Alicia Quigley

Alicia Quigley is a multi-disciplinary artist with a particular focus on the collaboration and intersection between visual mediums, including sculpture, installation, and performance. She is particularly interested in the connection between people and the world, visualising the relationship between ‘us’ and our environment as a form of dance. Concerned with how one moves through a space and how, in turn, a space affects how one moves, a space has the capability of somewhat choreographing one’s steps.

After studying Landscape Architecture at University College Dublin, Ireland, Alicia began exploring her knowledge and interests in spatial design through various artistic means. More recently, she has combined these concepts with her lifelong studies of dance, resulting in the creation of wearable art and living sculptures. These are brought to life through performative movement. Alicia has exhibited her works in various group shows and solo exhibitions throughout Berlin and Ireland.

Growing up dancing and spending a lot of her life in the theatre, it has proven to be a natural and exciting trajectory for Alicia to transfer her passion for spatial design, visual arts, and performance to the realm of stage design and scenography.
