Born 1967 in Britian. 1992 Diploma in Architecture, University of Sheffield. 2001 Master of Philosophy, University of Cambridge. 1997 Member of the Chamber of Architects, Berlin. Has held senior positions both as architect and art director (e.g. at Babelsberg film studios) after moving to Berlin in 1992. Experienced in Film and scenography he specialises in: combining architecture and digital media to create narrative spacial installations, e.g. for Expo 2000. Founded the studio Duncan McCauley in 2003 in Berlin with Noel McCauley. Since 2003 has combined the studio work with teaching and lecturing in Universities such as UDK Berlin, NYU, and Central St. Martins London.
