She was a long-time design assistant to Chinese stage designer Lee Shen and has worked on projects at venues such as the Shanghai Grand Theatre, the Great Theatre of China, the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre and the Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Centre.
In her most recent work, she has explored ancient Chinese architectural spaces and integrated them into contemporary theatre. As a set designer and co-producer, she collaborated with the director and playwright to create this play, which has been performed nine times, including at the Shanghai Theatre Young.
She is fascinated by spaces imbued with poetry, narrative and history, and strives to offer audiences an alternative form of storytelling through visual art and spatial perception with her creations. She enjoys her work in theatre, where she collaborates across disciplines to realise performances of purity. With her advanced studies in stage design in Berlin, she aims to broaden her theatrical perspective, collaborate with artists from around the world, and continue to be creatively active in diverse cultural contexts.
