Friederike Polzin

Friederike Polzin is a fashion tailor and textile designer.

After completing her bachelor’s degree, she gained work experience as a studio assistant, in various film and theatre projects and in the editorial department of an independent radio station.

Always on the lookout for stories that want to be told she sees the translation of atmospheres and moods into spatial spatial concepts is an extension of her previous work as a Designer.

Her affinity with textiles and the sensual potential of other materials and their materials and their effects in space are an essential part of her design practice.

Due to her great interest in repair concepts, she always tries to work in a resource-conserving and sustainable way. The reuse of materials is not only an ecological necessity for her but also a great creative freedom.

For her, spaces are always also places of experience and encounter that transformative potential for the shaping of future community(ies) and which are created through collaboration and exchange.
