Hannah Ursula Schmidt
Hannah Ursula’s early career has been successful in creating three large scale installations at Design and Art festivals. Her work is about creating a dynamic experience in a space away from the social conventions and the perceived environment. She studied BA Fine Art at the University of West England ending in 2014, becoming a multi media artist in Light Installation, Assemblage, Kinetic Sculpture and Photography. Inspired by the German Expressionism, Situationist movement and Transnationalism, her work combines experimental film in media projections, site specific sculpture and performs an unspoken dialogue.
“Sculptures are a layer of materials that are collected to perform an array of perceptions. The work becomes a signifier of cultural narrative, where at once the borders of the space draw out a loosely directed and improvised silent movie, this is where people become actors in an immersive space.” Hannah Ursula 2017
