Henrike Haber

Henrike Haber has been living, studying and working in Berlin since 2017.

Her enthusiasm for aesthetics and their influence on our designed environment has accompanied her since the beginning of her studies. Her interest in design was sparked at an early stage by her involvement with living spaces and craftsmanship. Personal and political discourse continuously shapes and expands her motivation.

The combination of her social science background and design focus gives her a wide range of perspectives on the relationship between people and space. After her studies, Henrike gained practical experience as a junior designer, further deepening her skills in product, furniture and interior design.

On an anthropological and philosophical level, she is intensively involved with the significance of living spaces and their influence on people. Her thesis dealt with the fair distribution of living space and the development of a spatial concept that focuses on community and the social impact of private and public spaces. Her design approach is strongly influenced by the emotional perspective of the individual, with calm, security, community and mental health playing central roles.

In addition to her professional work, Henrike is involved in illustration, drawing and photography. These creative works complement her understanding of design and give her the opportunity to express visual concepts on different levels.

In the future, Henrike would like to further develop her skills in stage design and scenography. She sees this as an exciting combination of spatial design, emotional expressiveness and knowledge transfer. She would like to use her expertise to visually support film, theater or event productions and design creative spaces. Henrike is particularly interested in projects that address social issues and negotiate social or cultural questions. She wants to actively contribute to the communication of political and cultural content. Her aim is to use her work to tell stories, convey emotions and make social issues visible.
