Henrike Haber has been living, studying and working in Berlin since 2017.
During her studies and beyond, she has been accompanied by her enduring enthusiasm for aesthetics and their impact on our own created environment. In particular, her interest in product and furniture design was initially shaped by her preoccupation with living spaces and her enjoyment of craftsmanship. Her motivation continues to change through personal and political discourses.
Henrike deals with the topic of living on an anthropological and philosophical level and strives to understand the meaning of living for people. Inspired by intensive engagement with social and housing policy issues, her thesis deals with the fair distribution of housing and develops a housing system that puts the community at the center and focuses on the social impact of housing. Overall, she pursues a design approach that thinks strongly from the emotional perspective of the subject. The focus is on calmness, security, community and mental health.
In the future, she would like to take the design skills she has learned to a new level and actively participate in communicating political discourse as well as cultural and scientific content. It is her wish to be effective in her work, to tell stories, to take up, process and transport emotions.
