Jessica Rockstroh was born in Stuttgart, where she studied stage and costume design at the State Academy of Fine Arts under Prof. Jürgen Rose. This was followed by a three-year assistantship, during which she worked mainly with stage designer Martin Zehetgruber at the Stuttgart State Theatre. She has been working as a stage and costume designer in the field of drama and musical theatre in German-speaking countries since 1998. Jessica Rockstroh has worked repeatedly with directors Nora Schlocker, Itay Tiran, Sandra Leupold, Michael Schachermaier, Ingo Kerkhof, Martin Kušej and Lucia Bihler, whose production ‘Die Eingeborenen von Maria Blut’ (Akademietheater Wien) was invited to the 2023 Theatertreffen.
