I was born and raised in Salzburg, Austria, a city deeply shaped by its classical theatre tradition. From an early age, I was introduced to the world of theatre and staging through numerous visits to the theatre. These experiences sparked my interest in how spaces can tell stories and create experiences.
I moved to Berlin to study for my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design. During my studies, my interest in scenography continued to develop. I find exhibition design, stage design and the staging of fashion shows particularly fascinating. I am fascinated by how spatial design, together with music, lighting and atmosphere, can influence how we perceive a space and what we feel as a result. I was able to further deepen this interest whilst working at molitor GmbH as a graphic designer and scenographer, gaining practical experience in exhibition design in the process.
My bachelor’s thesis, “Staging Identity”, emerged from the combination of communication design and my interest in scenography. In it, I explore the scenographic signatures of fashion brands and the question of how brand identities and narratives can be translated into the staging of runway shows. For me, the main focus was on how a visual identity can be transformed into a spatial and immersive experience.
