Marven Rabe finished his Diploma in Fine Arts in 2024 under renowned artists Candice Breitz and Kerstin Honeit in Braunschweig and was accepted for the Masters Programm „Bühnenbild_Szenischer Raum“ at TU Berlin starting 2026. 

Marven Rabe works with mixed media, specifically at the intersection of video, performance, and costume design. 

From 2024 on he was involved in noumerous projects in Berlin and Cologne including Film-Costume-Design, Stage-Design and Group-Exhibitions. He works at Jugendtheaterwerkstatt-Spandau as the Manager of Costume- and Prop-Department.

His artistic work centres idiosyncratic beings that move through a world full of contradictions. In opposing binary concepts to one another, they ask what hides in between. He translates this tension field into text, image and body. His intricately handcrafted costumes and props are not only part of the cinematic staging but also serve as tools to explore ambivalent emotional states and tensions. One of their main objectives is to expose and critique power structures, while acknowledging one’s place within them.

Through embodying these contrasts, he creates spaces in which position and affect can be renegotiated. 

His work “as sweet as gravity” made it´s international debut in London, Shanghai and Ciang Mai.
