My personal goal is to bring individuals together. Luring people out of their day-to-day lives and inspiring new perspectives is an integral part of my work. Time and again, this passion has steered me towards stage design.
I studied design at the Münster School of Design. During this time, among other projects I realized the light installation ‘stroemen’ in the Trafostation Münster. Since 2020, I have been collaborating with a group of artists and designers on the event series ‘Luft&Laune’ in the Sputnikhalle Münster. In May 2024, this developed into a two-day festival for performative art, culture and music. As a founding member, I was able to gain valuable knowledge in event management and take a leading role in lighting design, stage design and marketing.
In various internships, including exhibition design (Studio TheGreenEyl, Berlin), interior design (TON, Münster) and architecture (Koch Architekten, Emsdetten), I was able to gain a comprehensive insight into spatial design. Above all, my time at Studio TheGreenEyl prepared me to use the space as a narrative, to play with it and incorporate it into a story in the best possible way.
As part of my final project ‘Ain’t nobody heard that yet’, I developed an audiovisual and interactive installation to sonify electrical impulses within the mycelium of an oyster mushroom. In August 2024 I developed the project ‘GayLaxy’, a space capsule as a queer and quiet refuge amidst the buzzing festival grounds of ‘MS Dockville’ in Hamburg.
