Nikolai Korypaev, born in 1987 in Kuibishev (USSR) worked since 2005 as a professional ballet dancer in Mikhailovsky Theatre, Saint-Petersburg. In 2008 he becomes his Bachelor Degree in Art from Vaganova Ballet Academy. Since 2014 he works as a Solo-Dancer in State Ballet of Berlin.
On stages in Russia and Germany but also in Italy, Lithuania, Finland, England, Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, Kazakstan, Japan and Australia he works with different Choreographers, Composers, Set, Light and Costume Designers such as Nikolai Bojarchikov, Nikita Dolgushin, Alexei Ratmansky, Slava Samodurov, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Marco Goecke, William Forsythe, Sharon Eyal, Benjamin Millepied, Arvo Pärt, Karl Jenkins, Pedro Alcalde, Ori Lichtik, Angelina Atlagić, Beate Borrmann, Jaafar Chalabi, Jérôme Kaplan, Nikolás Fischtel, Numen + Ivana Jonke.
With more than 15 years of stage experience, his interest in the design of scenic spaces and stage sets increased.
