My name is Somayeh Ahmeh. I was born in Iran – the country of civilization and art,  and grew up in Tehran. I completed my master’s degree in architecture with excellent grades and was an instructor for several architectural software. I worked in the field of interior design for many years. In order to challenge myself in another field I decided to move to Berlin.

I am a painter and I love photography very much – art keeps my soul alive. I am very interested in street theater; in Tehran I often went to watch street theater, and was always fascinated how actors conveyed different feelings to the viewer with a few simple means.

In Berlin, after much research, I finally decided to enroll in the stage design program. I believe it will be challenging while, at the same time, be interesting and artistic. I was extremely honored when I was accepted and I can’t wait to start. I am sure I will very much enjoy learning and having new experiences in this field.

I strongly believe that theater is much more than just acting. In fact, it is the stage and its design that allow the actors to express and reveal deeper feelings and moods of the play. I am looking forward of being part of that.
