In cooperation with the Theatre Paderborn and under Prof. Kerstin Laube’s guidance students created stage and costume designs for four contemporary pieces. Malte Schurau’s proposed stage concept was realised: a simple, playful space that enables different constellations and levels of play with a variety of large white bags. In DNA (Dennis Kelly) forest, field and road become a single, segregated space filled with garbage bags. Kim Scharnitzky’s uniform grey hoodie costumes help transform a group of young people into an aggressive gang, struggling with fear and assertion issues.
