The Odyssey of the Thorak Horses – Zitadelle Spandau

In addition to the exhibition “Unveiled.Berlin and its Monuments”, the extremely bizarre story of the “Thorak Horses”, a large bronze sculpture by the sculptor Josef Thorak, is to be told in a permanent presentation in the historical rooms of the Queen Bastion of the Berlin Citadel. In addition to the historical classification of these “Hitler stallions”, the focus is on exciting contextualisation in the context of monument history and remembrance culture. The designs will be on display in an exhibition at the Bastion Kronprinz from 17.03.22.
