In cooperation with the Haus der Brandenburgisch-Preußischen Geschichte (House of Brandenburg-Prussian History) in Potsdam:
As part of the theme year Kulturland Brandenburg 2018 “we inherit. Europe in Brandenburg – Brandenburg in Europe “and the European Heritage Year 2018 “SHARING HERITAGE”, our students design a multimedia exhibition about the region on both sides of the Oder. This joint memorial-European space of Germans and Poles, resulting out of the Second World War, is narrated through photographs and films of real and topographical places of remembrance, contrasted with questions and fragments of individual and collective memories. On the basis of documentation, historical testimonies and interviews, an immersive space of memory is created, which makes the breaks and continuities, strangeness and newly acquired familiarity, oblivion of history and new historical interest, tangible.
The exhibition is created in partnership with Instytut Zachodni Poznań / West Institute Poznań and Muzeum Ziemi Lubuskiej w Zielonej Górze, Museum of Lebuser Land Grünberg.
The exhibition will be on view from 7th September 2018 to 20th January 2019.
