The COVID-19 restrictions allowed us little more than to do our daily shopping. The supermarket became a meeting point in a society of consumption. But consumption without spectacle? What would the world be without art, but a dystopia of passive walkers on their phones?
We kept creating during the quarantine. Since supermarket walks are still allowed, we created SUPERKUNST – a peculiar supermarket. Where you can find meat dreams, dairy love, frozen success and happiness juice. It’s a place where you discover how to desire, experience spatial arts in different formats and reflect upon whether art is a product to consume or a place to meet. We invite you to 2020 BBSR exhibition to find out. The works include installations and projects from the fields of scenography, performance, video and stage design.
