“Komme was Wolle” is the working title of a special exhibition wih the topic of wool at the Museum Europäischer Kulturen – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (Museum for European Cultures, MEK), that will be designed and realized in cooperation with our study course Bühnenbild_Szenischer Raum.
Under the guidance of tutor Johann Jörg third semester’s students developed spatial concepts that on the one hand are dedicated to the topic’s specific historical, cultural and social aspects, and also discuss future topics such as the efficient use of ressources in the textile industry.
The main challenge the students have to face is to combine the classic conveying of information, the use of storytelling and the creation of a tangible experience for all generations in one scenographic concept.
Finally, the concept of Margaret Schlenkrich convinced the jury and will be realised in the upcoming summer semester. The exhibition opening at MEK in Berlin-Dahlem is scheduled for fall 2017.
